Wolves 1-0 Nottingham Forest: Wolves earn a crucial win against Forest

Wolverhampton Wanderers beated Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Saturday at Molineux Stadium. Wolves arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 3-0 to Chelsea. Forest, meanwhile, had secured a point against Aston Villa in their previous match. Wolves and Forest currently occupy 17th and 20th spots in the league, with 9 points and 5 points respectively after 11 matches.

After a goalless first half, Wolves applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Ruben Neves found the net, 56 minutes in. The match ended with a 1-0 home victory.

Substitutions for Wolves included Boubacar Traore, Hee-chan Hwang, Nelson Semedo, Joe Hodge and Hugo Bueno for Joao Moutinho, Diego Costa, Adama Traore, Matheus Nunes and Rayan Ait-Nouri, respectively. Forest brought on Jesse Lingard, Orel Mangala, Taiwo Awoniyi and Sam Surridge, to replace Emmanuel Dennis, Cheikhou Kouyate, Remo Freuler and Harry Toffolo.

There were bookings for Daniel Podence and Joe Hodge from Wolves. For Forest, Emmanuel Dennis and Scott McKenna saw yellow.

Wolves next face Crystal Palace while Forest are away to Brighton & Hove Albion.
