Goiás EC succumbed to a home defeat against São Paulo at Estádio da Serrinha on Sunday. Both teams arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Goiás were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 3-0 to Fluminense in their previous fixture. São Paulo had lost their previous match against Internacional. São Paulo looked to have the match under control when they scored again to grab the advantage, thanks to a goal from Marcos Guilherme in the 77th minute to establish a 3-0. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Juan Santos just before the final whistle to give a final score of 4-0.
