America 1 – Goianense 1: Plenty of goals but no winner at Independencia

America and Goianense ended their season with a 1-1 draw. Following this match, America and Goianense sit 11th (52 points) and 19th (35 points) in the league respectively, after a total of 38 matches.

Goianense started the first half well, when Dudu found the net on the 17 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as Henrique Almeida equalised for America just before half-time, concluding the first half 1-1. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-1.

Substitutions for America included Matheusinho, Indio Ramirez, Wellington Paulista, Danilo Avelar and Patric for Felipe Azevedo, Alexandre Egea, Henrique Almeida, Marlon Matheus and Raul Caceres, respectively. Goianense brought on Edson, Jorginho, Airton, Rhaldney Norberto Simiao Gomes and Kelvin Giacobe Alves dos Santos, to replace Shaylon, Wellington Rato, Luiz Fernando, Dudu and Diego Churín.

The referee booked Alexandre Egea, Everaldo and Juninho from America. Goianense had the worst of it though, with Jorginho and Edson seeing yellow, and Willian Maranhao then sent off with a red.
