Wolves 2-3 Brighton: The Seagulls seal precious away win

Brighton & Hove Albion’s 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, was hard fought at Molineux Stadium. Wolves were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against Brentford. Brighton were looking to extend their winning run after a 4-1 victory against Chelsea. Wolves are currently 19th with 10 points from 15 matches, while Brighton sit in 6th, with 21 points from 15.

The Seagulls found the net first, when Adam Lallana gave them the lead on the 10 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Goncalo Guedes on the 12 minute mark, brought Wolves level. The momentum was again with Wolves, who then scored again courtesy of a goal from Ruben Neves, 35 minutes in to establish a 2-1 result. However, their lead was short-lived, as Kaoru Mitoma equalised for Brighton just before half-time and saw the first half out 2-2.

Brighton continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Pascal Gross on the 83 minute mark, seing the match finish 3-2.

Substitutions for Wolves included Jonny Castro, Adama Traore, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Connor Ronan for Daniel Podence, Hee-chan Hwang, Goncalo Guedes and Boubacar Traore, respectively. Brighton brought on Danny Welbeck, Billy Gilmour, Deniz Undav and Joel Veltman, to replace Adam Lallana, Pervis Estupinan, Leandro Trossard and Kaoru Mitoma.

The referee booked Jonny Castro and Nathan Collins and Nelson Semedo saw the red card, for Wolves.

Wolves next face Arsenal while Brighton are at home to Aston Villa.
