West Ham United 2-0 Wolves: The Irons heap more pressure on Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers on away loss to The Hammers at London Stadium on Saturday. Both The Hammers and Wolves arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. The Hammers were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Everton in their previous fixture while Wolves lost 3-0 in their against Manchester City. The Hammers are now in 15th place, with 7 points from 9 matches, while Wolves sit in 18th, with 6 points from 9.

The first half of the match started favourably for The Irons, when Gianluca Scamacca gave them the lead in the 29th minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

The Hammers fought back, thanks to a goal from Jarrod Bowen on the 54 minute mark. The final result, The Hammers 2, Wolves 0.

Substitutions for The Hammers included Pablo Fornals, Michail Antonio and Emerson for Maxwel Cornet, Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta, respectively. Wolves brought on Adama Traore, Diego Costa, Chem Campbell and Boubacar Traore, to replace Pedro Neto, Goncalo Guedes, Matheus Nunes and Nelson Semedo.

There were bookings for Declan Rice and Aaron Cresswell from The Hammers. For Wolves, Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho saw yellow.

The Hammers will next play Fulham at home, with Wolves facing Chelsea away.
