The Hammers 1 – Wolves 0: The Irons celebrate victory at home

West Ham United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers with a thumping 1-0 victory on Sunday at London Stadium. The Hammers arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Newcastle United in their previous game. Wolves were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur. As the table looks today, The Hammers and Wolves currently occupy 5th and 8th spots in the league, with 45 points and 40 points respectively after 27 matches.
After a goalless first half, The Hammers piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Tomas Soucek finding the net in the 59th minute, leaving the final score at 1-0.
For The Hammers, Nikola Vlasic and Issa Diop, came on for Michail Antonio and Pablo Fornals. Wolves brought on Daniel Podence, Pedro Neto and Raul Jimenez, to replace Trincao, Fernando Marcal and Hee-chan Hwang.
The referee booked Michail Antonio for The Hammers.
The Hammers will next play Liverpool away, with Wolves facing Crystal Palace at home.
