The Hammers 2 – Man City 2: Victory elusive at London Stadium for both sides

The Hammers were held to 2-2 draw by Man City down on Sunday at London Stadium. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. The Hammers were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Man City were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Newcastle United and Leeds United. As it stands, The Hammers are in 7th place on the table and has 56 points while Man City sit in 1st with 90 points after 37 matches.

The Irons started the first half well, with a goal from Jarrod Bowen at the 24 minute mark. The Hammers then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a second effort from Jarrod Bowen just before half-time, finalising the first half 2-0.

Cityzens fought back, thanks to an early goal from Jack Grealish in the 49th minute. Man City then scored once more and found an equaliser thanks to a goal from Vladimir Coufal at the 69 minute mark with a final score of 2-2.

For The Hammers, Mark Noble, Ben Johnson and Andriy Yarmolenko, came on for Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals and Michail Antonio.

There were bookings for Jarrod Bowen, Vladimir Coufal and Lukasz Fabianski from The Hammers, and Gabriel Jesus, for Man City.

The Hammers will next travel to Brighton & Hove Albion, while Man City will face Aston Villa at home.
