The Hammers 1 – Burnley 1: The Irons frustrated at home as visitors draw

On Sunday, The Hammers and Burnley were held to a 1-1 draw at London Stadium. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. The Hammers were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 2-0 to Brentford. Burnley, on the other hand, were beaten 2-0 in the previous match against Norwich City. As things stand, The Hammers and Burnley currently occupy 7th and 18th spots in the table, with 52 points and 25 points respectively after 33 matches.
The Clarets started the game well, thanks to Wout Weghorst giving Burnley the lead at the 33 minute mark, seeing out the first half 0-1.
The Hammers took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Tomas Soucek, 74 minutes in, leaving the final score at 1-1.
For The Hammers, Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals, came on for Nikola Vlasic and Manuel Lanzini. Burnley replaced Ashley Westwood, Matthew Lowton and Dwight McNeil for Josh Brownhill, Connor Roberts and Matej Vydra.
There were bookings for Lukasz Fabianski and Declan Rice from The Hammers, and Jack Cork and Wout Weghorst, for Burnley.
The Hammers will next travel to Chelsea, while Burnley will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.
