The Hammers 0-2 Brighton: The Irons left stunned by the excellent Seagulls

Brighton & Hove Albion strolled past West Ham United with a 2-0 win on Sunday at London Stadium. The Hammers arrived at the match looking pick up points after losing their last match 1-0 to Nottingham Forest. Brighton, on the other hand, were unable to beat Newcastle United in a 0-0 draw. As it stands, The Hammers are in 20th place, with 0 points from 3 matches, while Brighton sit in 4th, with 7 points from 3.

Brighton started the first half well, thanks to a goal from Alexis MacAllister at the 22 minute mark, concluding the first half 1-0.

The Seagulls continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Leandro Trossard found the net, 66 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Substitutions for The Hammers included Gianluca Scamacca, Maxwel Cornet, Ben Johnson and Manuel Lanzini for Pablo Fornals, Michail Antonio, Vladimir Coufal and Said Benrahma, repectively. Brighton brought on Pervis Estupinan, Enock Mwepu and Kaoru Mitoma, to replace Adam Lallana, Solly March and Leandro Trossard.

The referee booked Thilo Kehrer and Aaron Cresswell for The Hammers.

The Hammers will next play Aston Villa away, with Brighton facing Leeds United at home.
