Watford 1 – Palace 4: The Eagles deliver resounding show at Vicarage Road

Crystal Palace eased past Watford in a 4-1 victory on Wednesday at Vicarage Road. Watford were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Palace, on the other hand, lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Chelsea. As things stand, Watford and Palace are 19th, (18 points) and 11th, (29 points), spots respectively, after 18 matches.
Palace started the first half well, with Jean-Philippe Mateta opening the rout in the 15th minute. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Moussa Sissoko in the 18th minute brought The Hornets level. However, Palace secured the points emphatically, with a goal from Conor Gallagher just before half-time, which saw the first half end 1-2.
The Eagles continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Wilfried Zaha in the 85th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Wilfried Zaha made it 4-1 just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-1.
For Watford, Cucho Hernandez and Edo Kayembe, came on for Joshua King and Tom Cleverley. Palace brought on Jordan Ayew, James McArthur and Odsonne Edouard, to replace Michael Olise, Will Hughes and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
There were bookings for Samir and Kiko Femenia from Watford. For Palace, Cheikhou Kouyate saw yellow.
Watford will next travel to Manchester United, while Palace will face Burnley at home.
