Tottenham Hotspur strolled past Wolverhampton Wanderers with a 1-0 win on Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Spurs wanted to continue adding points after a 2-2 draw against Chelsea. Wolves secured a point against Fulham in their previous match. As it stands, Spurs and Wolves currently occupy 1st and 15th spots in the table, with 7 points and 1 point respectively after 3 matches.

After an uneventful first half, The Lilywhites applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Harry Kane, at 64 minutes. They managed to see the match out with a clean sheet and a final score of 1-0.

Substitutions for Spurs included Richarlison, Ryan Sessegnon and Yves Bissouma for Heung Min Son, Ivan Perisic and Dejan Kulusevski, repectively. Wolves brought on Leander Dendoncker, Raul Jimenez, Nelson Semedo, Adama Traore and Hee-chan Hwang, to replace Joao Moutinho, Daniel Podence, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Pedro Neto and Goncalo Guedes.

There were bookings for Pierre Hojbjerg and Harry Kane from Spurs, and Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nathan Collins, for Wolves.

Spurs will next travel to Nottingham Forest, while Wolves will face Newcastle United at home.
