Spurs 3 – The Hammers 1: The Lilywhites celebrate victory at home

West Ham United on away loss to Spurs at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. Spurs arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 3-2 to Manchester United. The Hammers, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Aston Villa. As the table looks today, Spurs are currently 5th with 51 points from 30 matches, while The Hammers sit in 7th, with 48 points from 30.
Spurs started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Kurt Zouma finding the net at the 9 minute mark. The momentum was now with The Lilywhites, who then scored again through a goal from Heung Min Son, at 24 minutes to establish a 2-0. The Hammers in turn, then responded in the 35th minute increasing their lead with an effort from Said Benrahma to see out the first half 2-1.
Spurs continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Heung Min Son finding the net again just before the final whistle, which sealed the victory for Spurs.
Both coaches used the full entitlement. For Spurs, Emerson, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura, came on for Sergio Reguilon, Dejan Kulusevski and Heung Min Son, The Hammers brought on Andriy Yarmolenko, Pablo Fornals and Nikola Vlasic to replace Michail Antonio, Arthur Masuaku and Manuel Lanzini.
The referee booked one player from The Hammers, Craig Dawson.
Spurs next face Newcastle United and The Hammers are at home to Everton.
