Spurs 5 – Everton 0: The Lilywhites humble visiting The Toffees at home

Tottenham Hotspur defeat Everton 5-0 on Monday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Everton, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Manchester City. As the table looks today, Spurs are in 7th place, with 45 points from 28 matches, while Everton sit in 17th, with 22 points from 28.

Spurs started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Michael Keane opening the rout, 14 minutes in. The momentum was now with The Lilywhites, who then scored again through a goal from Heung Min Son, 17 minutes in to establish a 2-0. Spurs then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Sergio Reguilon just before half-time to see out the first half 4-0.

Spurs started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with Harry Kane finding the net again in the 55th minute and seeing the game end 5-0.

Both teams used all available substitutes. For Spurs, Sergio Reguilon, Davinson Sanchez and Steven Bergwijn, came on for Ryan Sessegnon, Cristian Romero and Heung Min Son, Everton brought on Jarrad Branthwaite, Vitaliy Mykolenko and Dele Alli, to replace Michael Keane, Donny Van De Beek and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The referee booked Heung Min Son and Cristian Romero for Spurs.

Spurs will next travel to Manchester United, while Everton will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.
