Spurs 1 – Burnley 0: Visitors leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with nothing

Tottenham Hotspur eased past Burnley in a 1-0 victory on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Liverpool in their previous game. Burnley lost 3-1 in the last match they played against Aston Villa. As it stands, Spurs are in 4th place, with 68 points from 37 matches, while Burnley sit in 17th, with 34 points from 37.

It was an impressive opening from Spurs, with a goal from Harry Kane just before half-time Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Spurs, Dejan Kulusevski and Joe Rodon, came on for Lucas Moura and Emerson. Burnley brought on Wout Weghorst and Aaron Lennon for Ashley Barnes and Matthew Lowton.

There were bookings for Lucas Moura, Hugo Lloris and Dejan Kulusevski from Spurs, and Connor Roberts and Nick Pope, for Burnley.

Spurs will next travel to Norwich City, while Burnley will face Newcastle United at home.
