Norwich 0 – Spurs 5: Home side humiliated by travelling Carrow Road

Tottenham Hotspur beats Norwich City 5-0 on Sunday at Carrow Road. Norwich wanted to continue adding points after a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Spurs were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Burnley and Arsenal. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the Premier League season, Norwich and Spurs sit 20th (22 points) and 4th (71 points) in the table respectively, after a total of 38 matches.

Spurs started the first half well, with Dejan Kulusevski opening the rout, at 16 minutes. The Lilywhites then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Harry Kane at the 32 minute mark, to take a 0-2 lead into half time.

The Lilywhites continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Dejan Kulusevski finding the net again at the 64 minute mark. Spurs looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Heung Min Son in the 70th minute to establish a 4-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a second effort from Heung Min Son in the 75th minute with a final score of 5-0.

Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Norwich, Christoph Zimmermann, Tony Springett and Lukas Rupp, came on for Sam Byram, Kieran Dowell and Pierre Lees-Melou, Spurs brought on Lucas Moura, Harry Winks and Steven Bergwijn to replace Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Emerson.

There were bookings for Sam Byram, Mathias Normann and Tony Springett from Norwich. For Spurs, Heung Min Son saw yellow.
