Norwich 2 – Burnley 0: Job done for The Canaries at home to The Clarets

On Sunday, Burnley suffer an away defeat to Norwich City at Carrow Road. Norwich wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in their previous game. Burnley, on the other hand, were beaten 2-0 in the previous match against Manchester City. After today’s result, Norwich are currently 20th with 21 points from 32 matches, while Burnley sit in 18th, with 24 points from 32.
The Canaries started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with a goal from Pierre Lees-Melou at the 9 minute mark, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
Norwich continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Teemu Pukki just before the final whistle. The game ended with a 2-0 victory for Norwich.
Both managers used allfull available substitutions. For Norwich, Lukas Rupp, Brandon Williams and Christos Tzolis, came on for Pierre Lees-Melou, Dimitris Giannoulis and Teemu Pukki, Burnley brought on Matej Vydra, Dwight McNeil and Ashley Barnes to replace Wout Weghorst, Aaron Lennon and Jay Rodriguez.
There were bookings for Pierre Lees-Melou from Norwich. For Burnley, Charlie Taylor saw yellow.
