Norwich 1 – Brentford 3: The Canaries beaten at home by The Bees

Brentford enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday. Both teams arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Norwich arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 2-0 to Southampton. Brentford were beaten 2-0 in the previous match against Newcastle United. As the table looks today, Norwich are in 20th place on the table and has 17 points while Brentford sit in 15th with 27 points after 28 matches.
Brentford dominated the first half, thanks to Ivan Toney giving The Bees the lead, 32 minutes in, finalising the first half 0-1.
Brentford started the second half with renewed vigour, with Ivan Toney finding the net again, at 52 minutes. The momentum was now with Brentford, who then scored again through a hat trick effort from Ivan Toney in the 58th minute to establish a 3-0. In the end though, The Canaries just before the final whistle hit back though following a Teemu Pukki goal and seeing the game end 3-1.
Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Norwich, Jon Rowe, Max Aarons and Pierre Lees-Melou, came on for Billy Gilmour, Brandon Williams and Mathias Normann, Brentford replaced Frank Onyeka, Mads Roerslev Rasmussen and Yoane Wissa with Christian Norgaard, Kristoffer Ajer and Sergi Canos.
There were bookings for Ben Gibson and Grant Hanley from Norwich. For Brentford, Kristoffer Ajer, Christian Eriksen, Pontus Jansson, Mads Roerslev Rasmussen and Bryan Mbeumo saw yellow.
Norwich will next travel to Leeds United, while Brentford will face Burnley at home.
