Newcastle 2-0 Forest: Forest leave Tyneside empty handed on EPL return

Newcastle United gets winning start at St James’ Park. Today’s result, Newcastle and Forest currently occupy 4th and 19th spots in the table, with 3 points and 0 points respectively after 1 match.

After a goalless first half, Newcastle piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Fabian Schar found the net at the 58 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Callum Wilson made it 2-0, 78 minutes in to make it 2-0.

Substitutions for Newcastle included Sean Longstaff, Ryan Fraser, Chris Wood, Jacob Murphy and Botman Sven for Joseph Willock, Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin and Bruno Guimaraes, repectively.
