Man U 1 – Leicester 1: Victory beyond reach for The Red Devils at Old Trafford

Man U were held to 1-1 draw by Leicester down on Saturday at Old Trafford. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Man U were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Leicester were coming off the back of a 2-1 win against Brentford. As it stands, Man U are in 6th place, with 51 points from 31 matches, while Leicester sit in 9th, with 37 points from 31.

After a goalless first half, The Foxes took the initiative in the second half, with Kelechi Iheanacho giving Leicester the lead, at 63 minutes. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Fred equalised for The Red Devils, 66 minutes in and seeing the game end 1-1.

Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Man U, Alex Telles, Marcus Rashford and Nemanja Matic, came on for Luke Shaw, Scott Mctominay and Paul Pogba, Leicester replaced Daniel Amartey, Hamza Choudhury and Patson Daka with Jonny Evans, Nampalys Mendy and Kelechi Iheanacho.

There were bookings for Luke Shaw and Scott Mctominay from Man U. For Leicester, Wesley Fofana and Youri Tielemans saw yellow.

Man U will play away against Everton, while Leicester will face Crystal Palace at home.
