Man City 4 – Man U 1: The Red Devils lose to a 5 star Cityzens

Manchester United on away loss to Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. Man City were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning last match whilst Man U are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, Man City and Man U sit 1st, (69 points) and 5th, (47 points), in the league respectively, after 28 matches.
Cityzens didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with an early goal from Kevin De Bruyne in the 5th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Jadon Sancho at the 22 minute mark, brought Man U level. However, Man City secured the points emphatically, with a second effort from Kevin De Bruyne, 28 minutes in to see out the first half 2-1.
Man City continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Riyad Mahrez finding the net at the 68 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Riyad Mahrez made it 4-1 just before the final whistle to make it 4-1.
For Man City, Ilkay Gundogan, came on for Kevin De Bruyne. Man U brought on Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford, to replace Anthony Elanga and Paul Pogba.
The referee booked one player from Man U, Harry Maguire.
Man City will next travel to Crystal Palace, while Man U will face Tottenham Hotspur at home.
