Liverpool 1-0 West Ham: Nunez seals hard-earned win over The Hammers

Liverpool eased past West Ham United in a 1-0 victory on Wednesday at Anfield. Liverpool were looking to pick up points after winning last match. The Hammers were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Liverpool are now in 6th place on the table and have 16 points while The Hammers sit in 13th with 11 points after 12 matches.

The first half of the match started well for The Reds, when Darwin Nunez found the net, 22 minutes in, finishing the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Substitutions for Liverpool included Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, Fabinho, Andy Robertson and James Milner for Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho, Thiago, Kostas Tsimikas and Roberto Firmino, respectively. The Hammers brought on Said Benrahma and Michail Antonio, to replace Pablo Fornals and Flynn Downes.

Liverpool will next play Nottingham Forest away, with The Hammers facing Bournemouth at home.
