Liverpool 1 – Spurs 1: Did Liverpool Lose Premier League Title?

On Saturday, Liverpool and Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw at Anfield. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Liverpool were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two games against Newcastle United away and Everton at home, by 1-0 and 2-0 respectively. Spurs were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-1 victory against Leicester City. As the table looks today, Liverpool and Spurs currently occupy 1st and 5th spots in the table, with 83 points and 62 points respectively after 36 matches.
After a goalless first half, Spurs fought back the second half, thanks to a goal from Heung Min Son at the 56 minute mark. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Luis Diaz equalised for The Reds, 74 minutes in and seeing the game end 1-1.
Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Liverpool, Kostas Tsimikas, Diogo Jota and Naby Keita, came on for Andy Robertson, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, Spurs brought on Davinson Sanchez, Harry Winks and Steven Bergwijn to replace Ryan Sessegnon, Dejan Kulusevski and Heung Min Son.
There were bookings for Kostas Tsimikas, Fabinho and Naby Keita from Liverpool. For Spurs, Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon saw yellow.
Liverpool will next travel to Southampton, while Spurs will face Burnley at home.
