Liverpool 4 – Man U 0: The Reds humble visiting The Red Devils at home

Liverpool beat Manchester United with a thumping 4-0 victory on Tuesday at Anfield. Liverpool wanted to improve their league standing after a 2-2 draw against Manchester City whilst Man U were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-2 victory against Norwich City. As the table looks today, Liverpool are in 1st place, with 76 points from 30 matches, while Man U sit in 6th, with 54 points from 30.
Liverpool started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with an early goal from Luis Diaz in the 5th minute. The Reds then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Mohamed Salah, 22 minutes in and seeing the first half out 2-0.
Liverpool continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Sadio Mane, at 68 minutes. The Reds then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a 2nd effort from Mohamed Salah just before the final whistle to make it 4-0.
Liverpool brought on Diogo Jota, Naby Keita and James Milner for Luis Diaz, Thiago and Fabinho. Man U brought on Jesse Lingard, Jadon Sancho and Hannibal Mejbri, to replace Paul Pogba, Phil Jones and Anthony Elanga.
There were bookings for Naby Keita from Liverpool, and Hannibal Mejbri and Bruno Fernandes, for Man U.
Man U and Liverpool will next play away to Arsenal and Aston Villa respectively.
