Liverpool 1-2 Leeds: Summerville strikes gives The Whites stunning win

Liverpool on home loss to Leeds United at Anfield on Saturday. Both sides came from defeats in their previous league games. Liverpool were hoping to get something from this game after losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest in their previous fixture while Leeds were beaten 3-2 in their previous match against Fulham. Liverpool are currently 9th with 16 points from 14 matches, while Leeds sit in 15th, with 12 points from 14.

The Whites started strongly in the first half, with an early goal from Rodrigo Moreno in the 4th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Mohamed Salah equalised for Liverpool in the 14th minute. The score at half time remained 1-1.

Leeds continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Crysencio Summerville gave them the lead just before the final whistle, seing the match finish 2-1.

Both managers used all available substitutions. Substitutions for Liverpool included Curtis Jones, Jordan Henderson and James Milner for Harvey Elliott, Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arnold, respectively, Leeds brought on Patrick Bamford, Degnand Wilfried Gnonto and Luke Ayling, to replace Rodrigo Moreno, Jack Harrison and Crysencio Summerville.

The referee booked Crysencio Summerville for Leeds.

Liverpool will next play Tottenham Hotspur away, with Leeds facing Bournemouth at home.
