Liverpool 2 – Everton 0: The Reds celebrate victory at home

Liverpool strolled past Everton with a 2-0 win on Sunday at Anfield. Liverpool were looking for a victory after a 2-2 draw against Manchester City. Everton had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 1-0 victory against Manchester United. As things stand, Liverpool and Everton currently occupy 2nd and 18th spots in the league, with 79 points and 29 points respectively after 34 matches.
After an un-eventful first half, Liverpool piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Andy Robertson finding the net, at 62 minutes. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Divock Origi just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-0.
For Liverpool, Divock Origi, Luis Diaz and Jordan Henderson, came on for Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota. Everton replaced Dele Alli and Salomon Rondon with Allan and Demarai Gray.
There were bookings for Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, and Anthony Gordon, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan, Dele Alli and Richarlison, for Everton.
Liverpool will next travel to Newcastle United, while Everton will face Chelsea at home.
