Leicester 2-2 Brentford: Bees rally to take a point at the King Power

Leicester plays a 2-2 draw at the beginning of a new Premier League season against Brentford. Today’s result, leave both teams on 1 point and sitting in 10th and 8th positions respectively, after their first match.

Leicester started the first half well, when Timothy Castagne found the net, 33 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall made it 2-0 just before halftime, finishing the first half 2-0.

Brentford took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Ivan Toney, 62 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Pelenda Da Silva just before the final whistle to make it 2-2.

Both managers used the full entitlement. Substitutions for Leicester included Patson Daka for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, repectively, Brentford brought on Pelenda Da Silva, Keane Lewis-Potter, Shandon Baptiste, Halil Dervisoglu and Mads Bech Sorensen, to replace Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee, Christian Norgaard, Yoane Wissa and Aaron Hickey.

In the second round of action in the Premier League Leicester will play against Arsenal away and Brentford will play against Manchester United at home.
