Leeds 0 – Spurs 4: Home side humiliated by travelling Elland Road

Tottenham Hotspur snatched all three points from Leeds United in a 4-0 victory on Saturday, at Elland Road. Leeds arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 4-2 to Manchester United. Spurs, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-2 victory against Manchester City. After today’s result, Leeds and Spurs are 15th, (23 points) and 7th, (42 points), in the league respectively, after 27 matches.

The Lilywhites dominated the first half, with Matt Doherty opening the rout, at 10 minutes. The momentum was now with Spurs, who then scored again through a goal from Dejan Kulusevski in the 15th minute to establish a 2-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Harry Kane in the 27th minute. The score at half time was 0-3.

Spurs continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Heung Min Son just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 4-0.

For Leeds, Mateusz Klich and Rodrigo Moreno, came on for Pascal Struijk and Jack Harrison. Spurs brought on Emerson, Steven Bergwijn and Dane Scarlett, to replace Ryan Sessegnon, Dejan Kulusevski and Heung Min Son.

There were bookings for Mateusz Klich, Stuart Dallas, Daniel James and Rodrigo Moreno from Leeds, and Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies, for Spurs.

Leeds will next play Leicester City away, with Spurs facing Everton at home.
