Leeds 1-1 Everton: Leeds fightback at Elland Road denies Everton first win

On Tuesday, Leeds and Everton were held to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road. Leeds were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last match 1-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion. Everton, on the other hand, secured a point against Brentford in their previous match. After today’s result, Leeds and Everton sit 5th, (8 points) and 15th, (3 points), spots respectively, after 5 matches.

The Toffees started strongly in the first half, when Anthony Gordon gave Everton the lead, 17 minutes in, saw out the first half 1-0.

Leeds started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with a goal from Luis Sinisterra in the 55th minute, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Leeds included Joe Gelhardt, Mateusz Klich, Patrick Bamford and Daniel James for Rodrigo Moreno, Luis Sinisterra, Joe Gelhardt and Brendan Aaronson, repectively.

There were bookings for Tyler Adams, Diego Llorente and Rasmus Kristensen from Leeds, and Tom Davies, Anthony Gordon and Nathan Patterson, for Everton.

Leeds will next travel to Brentford, while Everton will face Liverpool at home.
