Leeds 3-0 Chelsea:The Whites cruise past struggling Blues at Elland Road

Leeds United snatched all three points from Chelsea in a 3-0 victory on Sunday, at Elland Road. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Leeds were looking for a victory after a 2-2 draw against Southampton. Chelsea are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, Leeds are in 2nd place in the table and have 7 points while Chelsea sit in 12th with 4 points after 3 matches.

Leeds dominated the first half, when Brendan Aaronson opened the rout, 33 minutes in. Leeds then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Rodrigo Moreno, 37 minutes in to secure a 2-0 win.

The Whites continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Jack Harrison, 69 minutes in, leaving the final score at 3-0.

Substitutions for Leeds included Adam Forshaw, Luis Sinisterra, Sam Greenwood, Joe Gelhardt and Mateusz Klich for Marc Roca, Daniel James, Jack Harrison, Rodrigo Moreno and Brendan Aaronson, repectively. Chelsea brought on Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Cesar Azpilicueta, to replace Conor Gallagher, Jorginho, Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling.

Leeds will play away against Brighton & Hove Albion, while Chelsea will face Leicester City at home.
