Sunday’s fixture between Leeds and Villa delivered a goalless draw at Elland Road. Leeds were hoping to get something from this game, following defeat to Brentford. Villa were coming off the back of a 1-0 win against Southampton. Leeds and Villa currently occupy 12th and 14th spots in the league, with 9 points and 8 points respectively after 9 matches.

Substitutions for Leeds included Junior Firpo, Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford, Mateusz Klich and Crysencio Summerville for Marc Roca, Rasmus Kristensen, Rodrigo Moreno, Brendan Aaronson and Jack Harrison, respectively. Villa brought on Jan Bednarek, Emiliano Buendia and Danny Ings, to replace Ludwig Augustinsson, Leon Bailey and Jacob Ramsey.

The referee booked Luis Sinisterra, Marc Roca, Rodrigo Moreno and Robin Koch from Leeds and Luis Sinisterra (2 yellow cards) went off with a red card, while Villa’s Ludwig Augustinsson and Leon Bailey also received a yellow.

Villa and Leeds will next play away to Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace respectively.
