Leeds 0 – Villa 3: Home loss for The Whites at hands of The Villa

Aston Villa ease to a comfortable 3-0 win at Elland Road. Leeds were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Leicester City. Villa were coming from consecutive wins against Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion. As the table looks today, Leeds are in 16th place on the table and has 23 points while Villa sit in 9th with 36 points after 20 matches.
Villa didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with Philippe Coutinho opening the rout after 22 minutes. The score at half time was 0-1.
The Villa continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Matty Cash in the 65th minute. Villa then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Calum Chambers at the 73 minute mark with a final score of 3-0.
Leeds brought on Joe Gelhardt, Patrick Bamford and Mateusz Klich for Rodrigo Moreno, Jack Harrison and Adam Forshaw. Villa brought on Morgan Sanson, Emiliano Buendia and Ashley Young, to replace Danny Ings, Philippe Coutinho and Douglas Luiz.
There were bookings for Robin Koch, Joe Gelhardt, Junior Firpo, Daniel James and Raphinha from Leeds. For Villa, Ollie Watkins, Tyrone Mings and John McGinn saw yellow.
