On Saturday, Everton and Forest were held to a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park. Everton were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Aston Villa. Forest, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against West Ham United. As things stand, Everton and Forest sit 16th, (1 point) and 11th, (4 points), spots respectively, after 3 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Red dogs took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Brennan Johnson at the 81 minute mark. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Demarai Gray equalised for Everton just before the final whistle. The final result, Everton 1, Forest 1.

Substitutions for Everton included Amadou Mvom Onana and Dwight McNeil for Tom Davies and Salomon Rondon, repectively. Forest replaced Orel Mangala, Taiwo Awoniyi and Jesse Lingard for Ryan Yates, Morgan Gibbs-White and Cheikhou Kouyate.

There were bookings for Anthony Gordon, Alex Iwobi and Amadou Mvom Onana from Everton. For Forest, Joe Worrall and Neco Williams saw yellow.

Everton will next play Brentford away, with Forest facing Tottenham Hotspur at home.
