Everton 1 – Man U 0: Visitors unable to get win at Goodison Park

Everton snatched all three points from Manchester United in a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday, at Goodison Park. Everton arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 2-1 to West Ham United whilst Man U had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Leicester City. After today’s result, Everton are currently 17th with 28 points from 32 matches, while Man U sit in 7th, with 51 points from 32.
The Toffees started the first half well, with Anthony Gordon finding the net at the 27 minute mark. The score at half time was 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.
For Everton, Demarai Gray and Abdoulaye Doucoure, came on for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Fabian Delph. Man U replaced Fred, Nemanja Matic and Marcus Rashford for Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Anthony Elanga.
There were bookings for Anthony Gordon and Jordan Pickford from Everton, and Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo, for Man U.
Everton next face Crystal Palace and Man U are at home to Norwich City.
