Saturday’s fixture between Everton and Liverpool delivered a goalless draw at Goodison Park. Everton were aiming to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Leeds United in their previous game whilst Liverpool were coming from consecutive wins against Newcastle United and Bournemouth. Everton are now in 14th place, with 4 points from 6 matches, while Liverpool sit in 5th, with 9 points from 6.

Substitutions for Everton included Idrissa Gueye and Dwight McNeil for Tom Davies and Anthony Gordon, respectively. Liverpool replaced Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Andy Robertson, Joel Matip and Diogo Jota with Fabio Carvalho, Kostas Tsimikas, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez.
