Everton 0-2 Leicester: Tielemans stunner sets Foxes on the road to victory

Leicester City strolled past Everton with a 2-0 win on Saturday at Goodison Park. Everton arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a scoreless draw against Fulham in their previous match. Leicester were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Manchester City. both teams are now on 14 points and occupy 15th and 13th places respectively after 15 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Leicester, thanks to a goal from Youri Tielemans just before half-time, ending the first half 1-0.

The Foxes continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Harvey Barnes found the net just before the full time so at full time it was 2-0 to Leicester.

Substitutions for Everton included James Garner, Neal Maupay, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Nathan Patterson and Anthony Gordon for Idrissa Gueye, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Amadou Mvom Onana, Seamus Coleman and Dwight McNeil, respectively. Leicester brought on Jamie Vardy, Wilfred Ndidi, Marc Albrighton and Nampalys Mendy, to replace Patson Daka, Boubakary Soumare, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Youri Tielemans.

Next up, Everton are away to Bournemouth, whilst Leicester will travel to face West Ham United.
