This Wednesday sees Everton go head to head with Leicester at Goodison Park – Kick-off 8:45pm GMT.

Wednesday’s clash between Everton and Leicester, sees seventeenth take on ninth in the League.

This season’s Premier League campaign, has so far seen Everton achieve 28 points

Everton come to this match on the back of a victory, having beaten Manchester United 1-0 at Goodison Park.

Also, suffering 14 losses in 19 fixtures is a terrible run of form for any club, Frank Lampard’s Everton will know this and will be hopeful of turning it around. Their position is seventeenth in the League and they have 28 points, that is, 8W, 18L and 4D having won eight meetings, drawn four fixtures, and lost 18 games.

Everton have won seven matches, drawn one game, and lost seven games of their 15 League matches at home this season.

A victory for Everton would put them on 31 points.

Everton are no strangers this season to illness and injury and Frank Lampard is concerned that Wednesday’s fixture could see him without five of his key players.

Leicester City have 40 points to their name, going into this tie

Leicester will be buoyant, following a 2-1 home win against Crystal Palace in their last fixture.

Also, Leicester keep finding ways to win, having secured four victories in their last six fixtures is astonishing this season. With 40 points (11W, 11L and 7D), they are established in ninth position in the League having won 11 meetings, drawn seven matches, and lost 11 games.

With a poor record on the road, which amounts to three wins, four draws, and seven losses, it is hard to predict a positive outcome for Leicester as they travel once more.

Leicester City will have secured 43 points so far this season, should they secure a win.

Good Attacking Performance

Leicester will be pleased to have a good goal scoring record so far this season (45). Their stand out attacking players have been Kasper Schmeichel, James Michael Justin, and Wesley Fofana. Leicester have shown a poor defensive display so far, having conceded 48 goals in their previous matches.

Brendan Rodgers will be forced to make changes to the plans for his squad, as injury or illness has depleted him of five of his Leicester players.
