Chelsea 2 – Wolves 2: Victory elusive at Stamford Bridge for both sides

On Saturday, Chelsea and Wolves were held to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Manchester United in their previous game. Wolves, on the other hand, were beaten 3-0 in the previous match against Brighton & Hove Albion. As the table looks today, Chelsea are in 3rd place, with 67 points from 36 matches, while Wolves sit in 8th, with 50 points from 36.
Following a goalless first half, Chelsea fought back the second half, with a goal from Romelu Lukaku in the 56th minute. The Blues looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a 2nd effort from Romelu Lukaku, 58 minutes in to establish a 2-0. However, Wolves weren’t lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Trincao, 79 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Conor Coady made it 2-2 just before the final whistle to make it 2-2.
Both managers used the full entitlement. For Chelsea, Saul Niguez, Malang Sarr and Kai Havertz, came on for Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta and Romelu Lukaku, Wolves brought on Hee-chan Hwang, Chiquinho and Trincao, to replace Pedro Neto, Romain Saiss and Ruben Neves.
There were bookings for Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea, and Romain Saiss, Pedro Neto and Joao Moutinho, for Wolves.
Chelsea next face Watford and Wolves are at home to Norwich City.
