Chelsea 1 – The Hammers 0: The Blues deliver decisive win at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea eased past West Ham United in a 1-0 victory on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea were looking to pick up points after winning last match. The Hammers secured a point against Burnley in their previous match. Following today’s result, Chelsea and The Hammers currently occupy 3rd and 7th spots in the table, with 65 points and 52 points respectively after 34 matches.

After a goalless first half, The Blues applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Christian Pulisic finding the net just before the final whistle so at full time it was 1-0 to Chelsea.

Chelsea brought on Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku for Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. The Hammers brought on Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen and Manuel Lanzini, to replace Mark Noble, Andriy Yarmolenko and Said Benrahma.

The referee booked Marcos Alonso for Chelsea and Craig Dawson saw the red card, for The Hammers.

Chelsea will play away against Everton, while The Hammers will face Arsenal at home.
