Chelsea 1-1 Man Utd: Casemiro rescues the Red Devils

Chelsea were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Man U on Saturday at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea were looking for a victory following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Brentford in their previous game. Man U were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur in their last match. Chelsea and Man U sit 4th, (21 points) and 5th, (20 points), in the table respectively, after 13 matches.

After a goalless first half, Chelsea took the initiative in the second half, when Jorginho found the net, at 87 minutes. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Casemiro equalised for Man U just before the full time. The match ended wih a 1-1 draw.

Substitutions for Chelsea included Mateo Kovacic, Christian Pulisic, Armando Broja and Carney Chukwuemeka for Marc Cucurella, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, respectively. Man U brought on Fred, Victor Lindelof, Scott Mctominay and Anthony Elanga, to replace Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford.

There were bookings for Jorginho from Chelsea. For Man U, Antony, Fred, Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez saw yellow.

Chelsea will next travel to Brighton & Hove Albion, while Man U will face West Ham United at home.
