Burnley 0 – Man City 2: Cityzens, fearless, go to Turf Moor and win

Burnley were defeated at home by Manchester City at Turf Moor on Saturday. Burnley were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Brentford. Man City are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, Burnley and Man City currently occupy 19th and 1st spots in the table, with 21 points and 73 points respectively after 31 matches.
The first half of the game started well for Man City, thanks to an early goal from Kevin De Bruyne in the 5th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Ilkay Gundogan made it 2-0 at the 25 minute mark to see out the first half 0-2. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
For Burnley, Maxwel Cornet, Jay Rodriguez and Ashley Barnes, came on for Dwight McNeil, Jack Cork and Wout Weghorst. Man City replaced Gabriel Jesus and Bernardo Silva with Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne.
The referee booked Wout Weghorst for Burnley.
Burnley will next travel to Norwich City, while Man City will face Liverpool at home.
