Brentford 3 – Soton 0: Plenty of goals as The Bees get the home win

Brentford suffered an away loss to Brentford on Saturday at Brentford Community Stadium. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Brentford were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 3-0 to Manchester United. Soton, on the other hand, lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Crystal Palace. As it stands, Brentford are in 12th place, with 43 points from 36 matches, while Soton sit in 15th, with 40 points from 36.
Brentford found the net first, with Pontus Jansson opening the rout in the 13th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Yoane Wissa at the 14 minute mark, which saw the first half end 2-0.
The Bees continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Kristoffer Ajer at the 79 minute mark. The game ended with a 3-0 win for Brentford.
For Brentford, Pelenda Da Silva, Shandon Baptiste and Nathan Young-Coombes, came on for Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Mathias Jensen. Soton brought on Mohamed Elyounoussi and Oriol Romeu, to replace Ibrahima Diallo and Stuart Armstrong.
The referee booked Ibrahima Diallo for Soton.
Brentford will next travel to Everton, while Soton will face Liverpool at home.
