Brentford 4-0 Man United: Bees rampant as Red Devils crumble

Brentford enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Manchester United at Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday. Brentford were looking for a victory following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Leicester City in their previous game. Man U lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Brighton & Hove Albion. As the table looks today, Brentford and Man U currently occupy 3rd and 20th spots in the league, with 4 points and 0 points respectively after 2 matches.

Brentford started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Pelenda Da Silva opened the rout, 10 minutes in. The momentum was now with Brentford, who then scored again through a goal from Mathias Jensen, 18 minutes in to establish a 2-0. The Bees looked to have the match under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ben Mee in the 30th minute to establish a 3-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Bryan Mbeumo at the 35 minute mark, which saw the first half end 4-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 4-0.

Substitutions for Brentford included Vitaly Janelt, Yoane Wissa, Shandon Baptiste, Mads Bech Sorensen and Frank Onyeka for Pelenda Da Silva, Bryan Mbeumo, Mathias Jensen, Aaron Hickey and Christian Norgaard, repectively.
