Brentford 0-0 Chelsea: Stubborn Bees keep the Blues at bay

Wednesday’s fixture between Brentford and Chelsea delivered a goalless draw at Brentford Community Stadium. Both Brentford and Chelsea arrived at the challenge after previous wins. Brentford were looking to pick up points, following a 2-0 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion. Chelsea were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Brentford and Chelsea currently occupy 9th and 4th spots in the league, with 14 points and 20 points respectively after 12 matches.

Substitutions for Brentford included Shandon Baptiste, Yoane Wissa, Pelenda Da Silva and Saman Ghoddos for Frank Onyeka, Bryan Mbeumo, Mathias Jensen and Vitaly Janelt, respectively. Chelsea brought on Mateo Kovacic, Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic, Carney Chukwuemeka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, to replace Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja, Marc Cucurella, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz.

Brentford will next play Aston Villa away, with Chelsea facing Manchester United at home.
