Brentford snatched all three points from Burnley in a 2-0 victory on Saturday, at Brentford Community Stadium. Brentford were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 3-1 victory against Norwich City. Burnley, on the other hand, lost 4-0 in the last match they played against Chelsea. As the table looks today, Brentford and Burnley are 15th, (30 points) and 18th, (21 points), in the league respectively, after 29 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, The Bees piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Ivan Toney finding the net in the 85th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a penalty 2nd effort from Ivan Toney just before the final whistle to make it 2-0.

For Brentford, Yoane Wissa, Mathias Jensen and Frank Onyeka, came on for Sergi Canos, Christian Norgaard and Bryan Mbeumo. Burnley brought on Jay Rodriguez, to replace Wout Weghorst.

The referee booked Ivan Toney from Brentford. Burnley had the worst of it though, with James Tarkowski seeing yellow, and Nathan Collins then sent off with a red.

Brentford will next travel to Leicester City, while Burnley will face Southampton at home.
