Villa 0 – Spurs 4: The Lilywhites, merciless at Villa Park

Tottenham Hotspur see off Aston Villa 4-0 on Saturday at Villa Park. Villa were looking to get back their winning ways after losing 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers in their previous fixture. Spurs were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Newcastle United and West Ham United. As the table looks today, Villa are in 12th place, with 36 points from 32 matches, while Spurs sit in 4th, with 57 points from 32.

The Lilywhites started the game well, with an early goal from Heung Min Son in the 3rd minute, finishing the first half 0-1.

Spurs fought back, with an early goal from Dejan Kulusevski in the 50th minute. The momentum was now with Spurs, who then scored again through a effort from Heung Min Son, at 66 minutes to establish a 3-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Heung Min Son made it 4-0, at 71 minutes to make it 4-0.

Villa brought on Leon Bailey, Emiliano Buendia and Ashley Young for Danny Ings, Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Digne. Spurs brought on Sergio Reguilon, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn, to replace Matt Doherty, Heung Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski.

There were bookings for Danny Ings and Ashley Young from Villa. For Spurs, Pierre Hojbjerg, Emerson and Harry Kane saw yellow.

Villa next face Liverpool and Spurs are at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.
