Villa 2 – Norwich 0: The Canaries beaten away by The Villa

Aston Villa defeat Norwich City 2-0 on Saturday at Villa Park. Villa wanted to continue adding points after a scoreless draw against Leicester City in their previous match. Norwich lost 3-0 in the last match they played against Newcastle United. After today’s result, Villa are in 13th place on the table and has 40 points while Norwich sit in 20th with 21 points after 35 matches.

The Villa continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Danny Ings just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Both teams used all available substitutes. For Villa, Danny Ings, Douglas Luiz and Emiliano Buendia, came on for Leon Bailey, Tim Iroegbunam and Philippe Coutinho, Norwich brought on Josh Sargent, Jon Rowe and Lukas Rupp to replace Pierre Lees-Melou, Milot Rashica and Josh Sargent.

There were bookings for Calum Chambers, Tim Iroegbunam, Danny Ings and Jacob Ramsey from Villa. For Norwich, Max Aarons saw yellow.

Villa will next travel to Burnley, while Norwich will face West Ham United at home.
