Arsenal 0 – Liverpool 2: The Gunners unable to stop visitors getting win

Liverpool eased past Arsenal in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday at Emirates Stadium. Both Arsenal and Liverpool arrived on the back of wins. Arsenal were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Leicester City at home and Watford away, by 2-0 and 3-2 respectively whilst Liverpool were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United. As things stand, Arsenal and Liverpool are 4th, (51 points) and 2nd, (69 points), in the league respectively, after 27 matches.
After a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on The Reds who started the second half well, thanks to Diogo Jota finding the net at the 54 minute mark. Liverpool then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Roberto Firmino, 62 minutes in to make it 2-0.
Both managers used all available substitutions. For Arsenal, Emile Smith-Rowe, Nicolas Pepe and Edward Nketiah, came on for Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette, Liverpool brought on Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones, to replace Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Thiago.
The referee booked one player from Liverpool, Roberto Firmino.
Arsenal will next play Aston Villa away, with Liverpool facing Manchester United at home.
