Arsenal 2 – Leicester 0: The Foxes unable to avoid defeat at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal strolled past Leicester City with a 2-0 win on Sunday at Emirates Stadium. Both sides arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Arsenal were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two games against Watford away and Wolverhampton Wanderers at home, by 3-2 and 2-1 respectively. Leicester were coming from consecutive wins against Leeds United and Burnley. As it stands, Arsenal are in 4th place on the table and has 51 points while Leicester sit in 12th with 33 points after 29 matches.
The Gunners started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with a goal from Thomas Partey at the 11 minute mark, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
Arsenal continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Alexandre Lacazette, 59 minutes in. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 2-0 to Arsenal.
Both teams used all available substitutes. For Arsenal, Emile Smith-Rowe, Nicolas Pepe and Edward Nketiah, came on for Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette, Leicester brought on James Michael Justin, Wilfred Ndidi and Patson Daka, to replace Ricardo Pereira, Nampalys Mendy and Kelechi Iheanacho.
The referee booked Kelechi Iheanacho, Caglar Soyuncu and Patson Daka for Leicester.
Arsenal will next play Aston Villa away, with Leicester facing Brentford at home.
