Vancouver 2-1 Seattle: The Village topple The Sounders at BC Place

Vancouver Whitecaps strolled past Seattle Sounders with a 2-1 win on Sunday at BC Place Stadium. Caps are currently 9th with 40 points from 45 matches, while Seattle sit in 10th, with 39 points from 45.

The Village started the match strongly, when Vite found the net on the 29 minute mark. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Julian Gressel in the 37th minute, concluding the first half 2-0.

Seattle took the lead in the second half, when Bruin found the net just before the full time. The match ended with a 2-1 victory for Caps.

Substitutions for Caps included Owusu, Godinho, Schöpf, Dájome and Ricketts for Cubas, Gauld, Martins, Vite and White, respectively. Seattle brought on Montero, Bruin, Rowe, Medranda and Leo Chú, to replace Leyva, Atencio, Roldan, Tolo and Morris.

There were bookings for Julian Gressel from Caps, and Roldan and Lodeiro, for Seattle.
