Minnesota 2-0 Vancouver: Minnesota in control at Allianz Field

Minnesota United secured a 2-0 win against Vancouver Whitecaps at Allianz Field on Monday. Following this match, Minnesota are now in 6th place on the table and have 48 points while Caps sit in 9th with 43 points after 48 matches.

Minnesota started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to a goal from Fragapane in the 17th minute, finishing the first half 1-0.

The Loons once more applied the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from González, 77 minutes in so at full time it was 2-0 to Minnesota.

Substitutions for Minnesota included González, Rosales and Benítez for García, Lod and Fragapane, respectively. Caps replaced Owusu, Cavallini, Dájome and Ricketts with Nerwinski, Teibert, Martins and Vite.

There were bookings for Trapp from Minnesota. For Caps, Gauld saw yellow.
